Amari JB is well located, being a short walk away after you clear immigration at Johor CIQ. Located behind a shopping mall and surrounded by food options, it's perfect for a quick getaway. Despite my late checkin, I received a free upgrade to a deluxe room (thank you Amari!), which was a great night's rest. Only complaint is the toilet which doesn't have a spare cubicle for showering, which is a weird design. Otherwise no issues.

Good location, convenient for shopping, very close to the border, but I was charged extra for parking overnight because I didn't take a parking ticket. I suggest that the front desk can ask the guests when checking in to avoid such charges. The hotel is average, the breakfast is average, with a Malay flavor, the only feature is the live band, overall it is not as good as expected 5-star hotel
